In this case, Mr. Shisler was retained as co-counsel by a California based law firm to handle all medical depositions, including cross-examination of the defendants’ medical expert. Award of confidential amount in underinsured motorist arbitration of motor vehicle accident claim in in which plaintiff sustained complex regional pain syndrome as a result of the negligence of the underinsured motorist. In this case, Mr. Shisler was retained by Montgomery County, Pennsylvania counsel to assist him with the trial of this complex regional pain syndrome case, which was subsequently removed from the Court of Common Pleas and arbitrated. Following the arbitration, he was referred the related first party benefits claim, which resulted in recovery of a confidential amount in the lawsuit against the insurance carrier for insurance bad faith, breach of contract, and violation of the Unfair Trade Practices And Consumer Protection Law, where the carrier failed to produce the report of a peer review which was its basis for denial of medical bills, allegedly in an effort to limit the recovery in the underinsured motorist case.
